Good Market at FACT Liverpool 02/10/22

Sunday 2nd Oct saw the first Secret Industries market stall in Liverpool, as part of the Art & Print market at FACT Liverpool, hosted by Good Market NW. This was an ace venue for a market, the vibes were good, people were friendly, spendy, and everything was really well organised. Any of my creative buddies reading this, I would definitely recommend the guys from Good Market NW for market stalls - they put real effort into putting on a market, they keep in touch with all the stall holders, they send you info and social media images in advance and they always take some time out to come and say hello and check how you’re doing!

It was nice to do a new market in a new place, meet some new people and thankfully sell some bits and pieces, making it worth the trip over. Makers markets are so valuable to us small independent creatives, not only from a financial point of view, but also from a marketing, networking and community point of view, as this game can get quite lonely sometimes. With the cost of living continuing to spiral maniacally and with Christmas creeping up on us, making the effort to ‘shop small’ is more important than ever. The likes of Amazon & Argos don’t need your money, but all the small, unique, independent makers and businesses really do!
